- 3 Wear it, store it, pack itYour cap stays crisp on your head, on the shelf and in the suitcase. When it needs a wash, hand wash only (never the machine) and air dry it with the shaper inside, so it dries in shape.

Both, and that's the fun part. Every Shapers Image foam shaper can be worn in your cap all day, then put to work storing it, packing it for travel and holding its shape while you hand wash and air dry it. A cap shaper that only does one job is a cap shaper that is not trying hard enough. Two exceptions: the Care & Travel Edition is a sturdier version made for storage, washing and travel only, and our paperboard retail inserts are for display, shipping and storage only.

Lightweight EVA foam, proudly made in the USA by a woman-owned company. It is soft, flexible, waterproof, hypoallergenic, non-toxic and reusable, which is a long list of things for something you will forget is there five minutes after you put it in.
The shaper is easy: wipe it with mild soap, rinse and air dry, and keep it away from dryer heat. Your cap is a bit more particular. Check the tag first, and if it says washable, hand wash only, never in a washing machine, and air dry with no dryer heat, with the shaper inside so the crown dries in shape.
